Heated Beds
Q: My heated bed isn't heating up. It's cold when I touch it!
A: Heated beds are designed to heat to the approximate temperature indicated when the dog's weight is ON the mat. To test that the mat is heating use the "pillow test" - place a pillow on the mat for 10 minutes then feel under the pillow to see if it is warm. Don't forget to remove the pillow. Do not allow heavy items to remain on top of the heated mat.

Q: We do Wildlife Rescue. Are there any heated beds that work in cars?
A: An "In-Car Adaptor" is an optional extra available for the Standard range of heated beds/mats. The Premium range already includes an In-Car Adaptor.

Canine Coolers
Q: What makes the cooler work?
A: The cooler is a patented design which absorbs the dog's body heat. The same design is also used in Nursing Homes to keep patients cool. The Cooler should preferably be placed on a floor which doesn't retain heat, or is not heated, and should be out of any direct sun. DO NOT empty the water out when not in use as it contains the special patented cooling chemicals.

Q: Are there any tips to make my Cooler last as long as possible?
A: It is suggested that the Medium and Large Coolers are placed on a heavy plastic or small (blue) tarp so that if it needs to be moved you can pull on the tarp. DO NOT pull on the mat itself. It can also be "folded" in two (or 3 for the large size) to make it easier to move. DO NOT empty the water out as this contains the patented cooling chemicals.

Doggles, Sunglasses & Mesh Eyewear
Q: What
's the difference between Doggles ILS and the Originalz?
A: The Doggles ILS (Interchangeable Lens System) is an improved model over the Originalz. The lenses of the ILS can be removed to avoid risking the dog scratching the lens when first getting used to wearing them. The lenses can also be replaced. There is also additional padding behind the lens frame of the ILS for increased comfort. The ILS frame is also more flexible and has a deeper lens 'cup' so that the lens is further away from the eye. Both have the optical quality lenses. We stock both to suit different budgets.

Q: Which is best, the Doggles, sunglasses or mesh eyewear?
A: They all have different uses. The Doggles are for highest degree of eye protection whereas the mesh eyewear are more comfortable. Mesh eyewear does not provide as much protection against dust, insects and very fine particles. Mesh can help protect the eyes of blind dogs. We feel the sunglasses are more for a fashion statement and need closer supervision when being worn. Sunglasses should not be worn for sporting/hunting activities as the Doggles would be a more suitable choice.

Electronic Dog Fence
Q:
Do I need the wire?
A: Yes, it is an essential part of the electronic fence system. If using wire purchased elsewhere, ensure that it is compatible with the unit as this is one of the main reasons for problems occurring. The wire should be 1mm insulated copper wire R1010  0.6/1kV such as supplied by Electra Cables. If purchasing several rolls of wire from your local supplier ask for wire joiners as these protect the joins from weather. Problems usually occur at the joins. The incorrect wire size will cause problems.

Q: What if I have questions about the Electronic fence or training my dog?
A: A comprehensive booklet and instructions are included for the Electronic Fence and the Electronic Fence Dog Collar. If you still have questions please let us know and a representative will contact you.

Q: Can I get spare batteries for the dog collar?
A: Yes, we stock the flat round 6v replacement batteries for the collar.

Q: My dog has chewed through the buckle/webbing of his EF collar. Can I get a replacement?
A: We can repair your collar. A fee is charged to cover replacement parts and labour.

Anti-Bark Collar
Q: Can I get spare batteries from you for an Anti-Bark collar.
A: Yes. We have the flat round 6v batteries.

Q: Can you supply the Anti-Bark collar?
A: Sales of these are restricted in some States. If you advise us where you live we can
advise where you can obtain them.
